Set up two-factor authentication

You'll need an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, 1Password or Authy.

If two-factor is already switched on for this account, starting a new setup turns it off until you finish this wizard — and your existing backup codes stop working.

Add the key to your app

Enter this setup key in your authenticator app, then type the 6-digit code it shows.

On a phone you can open this link to add it automatically.

Save your backup codes

Two-factor authentication is now on.

These codes are shown once and never again. Each one works a single time if you lose access to your authenticator app. Store them somewhere safe before closing this window.
